Late-Stage Sporting Injury Rehab in Mackay

You've done the early rehab, the swelling has settled and day-to-day life feels normal again. But you're not quite ready to get back out there. Maybe running still feels awkward, you don't trust your knee when you change direction, or you keep re-injuring the same hamstring.

That final stretch of rehab is where many people get stuck, and where re-injuries often happen. It's also where we can help most.

Sporting Injury Rehabilitation in Mackay, Untapped Exercise Physiology

What is late-stage rehab?

Late-stage rehab is the part of recovery that takes you from "healed" to fully capable. The focus shifts from settling pain and restoring basic movement to rebuilding the strength, power, speed and confidence your sport or activity demands.

It's common for people to stop rehab once the pain goes away, but strength and control often haven't fully returned by then. Finishing rehab properly helps you get back to what you love with more confidence.

Injuries we commonly help with

  • knee injuries, including ACL and meniscus injuries

  • hamstring, calf and groin strains

  • ankle sprains and recurring ankle instability

  • shoulder injuries and dislocations

  • tendon problems, such as Achilles or patellar tendinopathy

  • hip and lower back injuries from sport.
