Since playing junior representative netball in Mackay, Kylie has had a passion for athletic development, always looking for resources and training to improve her speed, strength and athleticism to match it with the athletes she was required to compete against. After completing her Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science, Kylie knew that she wanted to finally begin sharing her passion for athlete development, but most importantly, Kylie knew she wanted to provide these services to the athletes within the Mackay region, where she has grown up.
Kylie's passion for Exercise Physiology and decision to further her studies came a little bit later, after being lucky enough to gain clinical allied health experience in a local clinic whilst studying. Kylie enjoyed the diversity of training athletes on the field, court or in the gym as well as being able to assist individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions to achieve their functional and lifestyle goals through exercise prescription. Kylie still finds both roles as rewarding as each other and enjoys the constant learnings that come with working with such a diverse range of clients and patients.
Outside of work you can usually find Kylie running, watching rugby league, reading or supporting local cafes with her coffee drinking addiction.

I have always been involved in sport and physical activity in some capacity, which has developed by deep belief in the transformative power of movement. Seeing people achieve their goals and milestones - big or small - is what drives me and gives me such a rewarding purpose! To me, there is nothing more rewarding than watching someone overcome challenges, make tangible improvements, and grow stronger both physically and mentally.
I particularly enjoy working with neurological clients and children, where small steps often lead to life-changing outcomes. Before entering this field, I spent over 10 years working with families and children in a professional capacity. I am excited to bring those communication, empathy, and support skills into Exercise Physiology practice.
When I'm not working or studying, I love staying active! Running is my go-to way to clear my head and recharge. I also really enjoy swimming and triathlons, with a full Ironman race on the bucket list! I am also a proud wife and mum to three beautiful children, and together we enjoy campong and making the most of Mackay's beautiful outdoors. You will often find me on the water, which is my favourite place to unwind.
