Meet the Team

Kylie Director, Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Athlete Development Coach at Untapped Exercise Physiology

Kylie

Director, Clinical Exercise Physiologist + Athlete Development Coach
Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology, Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science, ASCA Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach

  • Since playing junior representative netball in Mackay, Kylie has had a passion for athletic development, always looking for resources and training to improve her speed, strength and athleticism to match it with the athletes she was required to compete against. After completing her Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science, Kylie knew that she wanted to finally begin sharing her passion for athlete development, but most importantly, Kylie knew she wanted to provide these services to the athletes within the Mackay region, where she has grown up.

Kylie's passion for Exercise Physiology and decision to further her studies came a little bit later, after being lucky enough to gain clinical allied health experience in a local clinic whilst studying. Kylie enjoyed the diversity of training athletes on the field, court or in the gym as well as being able to assist individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions to achieve their functional and lifestyle goals through exercise prescription. Kylie still finds both roles as rewarding as each other and enjoys the constant learnings that come with working with such a diverse range of clients and patients.

Outside of work you can usually find Kylie running, watching rugby league, reading or supporting local cafes with her coffee drinking addiction.

Riley Exercise Physiologist Mackay at Untapped Exercise Physiology and Athlete Development

Riley

Clinical Exercise Physiologist
Bachelors of Clinical Exercise Physiology

  • Riley has always known that he wanted to pursue a future in the health industry. He saw the opportunity to learn about certain conditions and the ability to help individuals with exercise as an exciting career prospect. Riley’s clinical experience includes working within cardiovascular, respiratory, and metabolic spaces – helping to formulate and deliver community health programs for indigenous communities in and around South East Queensland. His laid-back nature allows him to make meaningful connections and help educate others around their conditions and the benefits of specific exercise.

Like most kids in the Mackay region, he grew up playing team sports and was lucky enough to play both basketball and AFL at a representative level. This also sparked interest in athlete development – keeping athletes strong and injury-free. This new start at Untapped will allow him to work with aspiring and experienced athletes – something he is eager to explore.

Away from work he dedicates time to family and friends, hiking, team-sports, and any opportunity to travel to new places.
