EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY
Clinical Exercise Physiology Services in Mackay
Exercise physiology uses exercise as treatment. As clinical exercise physiologists, our role is to prescribe exercise to help prevent and manage chronic conditions and injuries, so you can keep doing, or get back to doing, the things that matter to you.
Losing independence, whether through injury, illness or simply being less active, can have a big impact on quality of life. We're here to help you stay strong, steady and confident in your body, at any age.

Common questions
-
Physiotherapists often use hands-on treatment alongside exercise, especially early after an injury. Exercise physiologists specialise in exercise as the treatment itself, and in helping people manage chronic conditions long term. Many of our clients see both, and we're happy to work alongside your physio.
-
If your GP sets up a chronic condition management plan and refers you, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on up to five allied health sessions a year.
